Zoe Kazan, Vincent D’Onofrio and Brooks Ashmanskas will star in the New Group's Clive alongside previously announced star Ethan Hawke in the title role. Directed by Hawke, Jonathan Marc Sherman’s play begins performances January 17, 2013 at off-Broadway’s Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row. The production is scheduled to play a limited engagement through March 9.
Based on Bertolt Brecht’s play Baal, Clive is the story of a dissipated songwriter living in New York City in the ‘90s. The production will feature an eclectic selection of classic American songs performed live.
Kazan’s Broadway credits include A Behanding in Spokane, The Seagull and Come Back, Little Sheba. Her film and TV credits include Bored to Death, It’s Complicated and Revolutionary Road. D’Onofrio appeared on Broadway in Open Admissions. His film and TV credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Full Metal Jacket, Men in Black and Ed Wood. Ashmanskas has appeared on Broadway in Promises, Promises, Present Laughter, The Ritz, Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, The Producers, Gypsy, Little Me, Dream and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
